Hi, My name is Ray Satterwhite. I am the owner of the Richmond, VA Aerus franchise and have been with this company since 1976. Before the company went to franchises, I was one of the top 20 salesmen in the USA for over 20 years and was the 60th person in Electrolux history to have 10,000 sales, almost all door to door. I have more or less seen it all in this business from knocking on doors with the old Super J, the many VP Club trips, being the only salesman in Electrolux history to be allowed at the same time to be a branch manager...My success comes from one way of thinking: treat the customer good and the customer will treat you good. If you do that, no one loses and that is the way business should be...

In 1924 Electrolux USA broke off from the Swedish company, AB Electrolux. Electrolux USA was then known as the Electrolux Corporation until 1998. In 1998 the Electrolux Corporation was bought by Joe Urso (who still owns the company). The company was renamed Electrolux LLC. In 2004 the rights to the name Electrolux in North America ended, thats when Electrolux LLC was renamed Aerus LLC. Aerus still makes high quality floor care products true to its heritage. After all Aerus is Electrolux.

If you are in a department store and see something that says "Electrolux" those are not the Electrolux products that your parents had. In 2003 the rights to the name Electrolux ended in North America. Electrolux of Sweden (AB Electrolux) could now sell their products using the Electrolux name. AB Electrolux owns a lot of companies including the vacuum brand "Eureka." AB Electrolux takes their "Eureka" products and rebadges them to say "Electrolux" with their logo, some different trim and colors. Before 2003, Eureka sold a machine called the "Eureka Oxygen" after 2003 the same exact machine is called the "Electrolux Oxygen." DO NOT confuse these products with 1924-2003 Electrolux products, they are two completely different companies. If someone tells you that there is no such thing as a real Electrolux anymore, that they got sold or bought out, they are not telling the truth or they just do not know. The company that made all 1924-2003 Electrolux products in North America is now known as Aerus, its still the same great company the only thing different is the name.

If it does not say Aerus, then it is not the original...
